This January transfer market proves to be a period of significant rumour and possible big-money moves. Several notable stars find themselves connected to transfers out of their present clubs. This article explores some of the key figures that are poised to be changing clubs this month.

A. Semenyo

Although the Black Stars' failure to reach the Africa Cup of Nations, this has kept the forward available, indications are a major transfer is close. The Bournemouth attacker has a deal featuring a substantial release clause active for a short window in early January. This Portuguese midfielder might be poised for a comeback to the English top flight after a period in Saudi Arabia. Now only twenty-eight, while his agreement expiring in the summer of 2026, he is a possible bargain. Teams like Liverpool and Manchester United are connected to the player. Furthermore, there have been suggestions from Spain that he would be prepared to take a pay cut for a move to the Spanish giants.

This veteran German shot-stopper is now as the third option at Barcelona following the coach Flick. After fallen out of favour and undergone an operation, a winter exit looks highly probable. Following impressing at the Under-19 European Championship, he has broken into the AZ side. This teenager is widely expected to complete a big-money move this month. Newcastle are believed to be leading the chase, but could face stiff competition from the Spanish champions for a signing priced at around twenty-two million pounds.
