Your Perfect Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Super Form Based on Your Astrological Sign

The return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm across the community. From the gradual unveiling of newcomers before the game's launch, to trainers forming firm opinions on the full lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.

Given numerous of the Super Forms boasting unique designs that emphasize their personalities, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to connect this with astrology? The following is based on a blend of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for this fire sign, as they are the Super Form and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. However, a Super Houndoom appears as constantly angry, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, known for being playful, cheerful, and impulsive. That's why Aries much more akin to Mega Camerupt, which only spews lava when provoked. Remain on the friendly side of either and enjoy a powerful partner; if you cross them, be ready to get burned.

Taurus – Super Heracross

Similar to a devoted Taurus, the reliable Heracross, whether in its standard and Super Form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, both the creature and a Taurus are still Fighting types, and – whether it's their trainer or a strong opinion – will defend their position unwaveringly. The thing about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unabashed love of snacks. Several previous Pokédex entries mention their craving for sweet tree sap and how it employs its appendage to hoard it everything, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.

The Twins – Super Medicham

Observe this total royalty. You cannot tell me this creature is not the life of any gathering, offering an endless stream of chatter to anyone who wish to listen. Much like an captivating, sociable Twins, it's very easy to imagine Mega Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their tales. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to predict an opponent's next moves, which sounds quite like a people-smart Twins.

The Crab – Super Manectric

Cancer is widely considered as the most sensitive sign of the zodiac, a passionate symbol famous for frequently becoming absorbed in their feelings. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “huge quantity of electricity, but it's too much for Manectric to completely control,” which sounds a lot like a typical Cancer crash-out. It is also recognized for its ability to make a storm cloud over its very self – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.

Leo – Mega Starmie

Well, did you think I was planning to select Pyroar for the lion of the zodiac? Besides the reality that it would be far too on the nose, Leo is clearly Super Starmie, the diva whose gams just went viral for being too glamorous (or horrifying, depending on your preference). Fans couldn’t look away from the purple starfish, and that’s precisely the same vibe a Leo offers to the table. This Pokémon is also said to be broadcasting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Leo to be putting on a performance, even if for aliens.

Virgo – Mega Victreebel

The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The sign famous for being charmingly critical is strongly reflected throughout this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a always shocked face like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a 401(k), to its upside-down visage that’s just like the emoji a Maiden posts to the group chat when all says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than creating a strategy.

Libra – Super Audino

Observe this sweet, sensitive creature, who employs the sensors on its ears to tell how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and trying to keep the peace, there are numerous Scales who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s skills. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just cause them to worry more about others.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a unexpectedly tragic origin: Abandoned as a doll, it became sentient through sheer hatred and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.

Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha

Each Super Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a performance. Being a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve called myself some version of a “silly little jester” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “flexes to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.

The Goat – Super Absol

Did you know that a Mega Absol has the ability to predict calamities ahead of time? That gives the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who tends to always think they’re right. The thing is, much like a prophetic Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the ground floor of the Super Form craze.

The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure

Detached element Aquarius is possibly the non-flame sign that is most like a fire sign – its counterpart is Leo, and there are countless memes about Sagittarius and Water Bearer being unpredictable partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s double Ghost/Fire typing matches seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting presence is also very Aquarius. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “draws in negative energy and converts it into power.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
